The Cure for Obesity
The vertical sleeve gastrectomy is a recent developement that has been used to help obese patients. However, this type of surgery is not performed by a large number of people. Naturally, with a smaller stomach, the patient would eat less resulting in weight-loss. Up to about 85% of the stomach can be removed by this procedure. The procedure itself is fairly safe, but you must be very responsible about your eating once this procedure has been completed. I would advise against this procedure unless you are obese to the point where it is the only option because surgery is not always the best option.
