Intellectual Property Questions Concerning Plant Patents
Did you know that plants can have patents? This is one of those intellectual property questions that is interesting to know the answer to. My understand that certain types of plant species that were developed can have a patent. I am thinking Hybrid tea roses that were invented would probably have a plant patent. I am sure more and more varieties are being developed every day. The species must have been asexually products and be of new and distinct variety. I think that would be awesome to have a patent for a plant that I invented, developed and grew successfully.
