80’s Songs Would Be Lost Without Guitar
There is no doubt that the rock music of the 60’s and the 70’s used guitar as the main component of the song. When the 80’s came along, 80’s songs were as diverse as could be when you consider that such genres as punk, disco, pop, rock, hard rock, and metal were all mainstream popular at the same time. The movement was away from rock guitar in some styles with total fret grinding dependence with other 80’s songs. And one of the great things that came out of the 80’s era of music was the proliferation of great guitarists that we may never experience again. Although many 80’s songs were not dependent upon a six string slinger, it can be said that 80’s music would be lost without the guitar.
